Exhale: An Evening of Sound, Meditation, and Music

Exhale: An Evening of Sound, Meditation, and Music

November 23, 6 pm EST, In-Person

"Exhale" is an immersive evening that embodies the act of release—creating an immersive evening blending sound, meditation, and live music.

Known for her ability to engage audiences and amplify the voices of the African Diaspora, Atlanta-based harpist, and sound practitioner Angelica Hairston harnesses the power of the harp as a force for deep renewal at "Exhale". She is joined by Shawn J. Moore, a prominent sound healer and mindfulness practitioner, who creates sacred spaces for stillness and self-inquiry, helping changemakers align their strengths with their impact.

Together, the two will explore the connections between rest, introspection, and collective liberation through music and readings by Black composers, live improvisation, and captivating harp music along with crystal singing bowls, gongs, and chimes.

To create an atmosphere of relaxation, guests are invited to bring yoga mats, blankets, socks, or any other items that bring comfort.

This event is free and presented in partnership with South Fulton Arts and The Anchor. Tickets are available at no cost and can be reserved above.

Nourish: Half-Day Online Rest Retreat with Holy Shift

November 9, 10 am EST, Virtual

As we approach a pivotal election amidst a landscape of ongoing conflicts, misinformation, and collective unease, it's essential to carve out intentional space to pour back into yourself.

This half-day retreat offers a sacred space to nourish your mind, body, and spirit through practices that invite deep rest and inner connection, helping you reset and reconnect with the rest you need to navigate these times with greater ease and resilience.

☀️ Morning Session | 10 am - 11:30 am ET

We'll begin the day with journal reflection and discussion to explore our personal relationship with rest. Together, we’ll unpack the barriers that prevent us from resting fully and discuss how we can cultivate practices that invite more spaciousness into our lives.

This session will conclude with a healing sound bath, allowing participants to integrate their reflections and experience deep relaxation.

🪷 Afternoon Session | 1:30 pm - 3 pm ET

In the afternoon, we’ll return for more reflection and dialogue, followed by a soothing Yoga Nidra practice. Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative guided practice that promotes rest on both physical and emotional levels, offering a chance to reset and recharge.

Inward Illumination™ Meditation Teacher Training

The Inward Illumination™ Meditation Teacher Training Program (MTT) is a transformative journey designed to deepen practitioners' personal meditation practice while equipping them with the skills to guide others on their own paths of peace, clarity, and freedom. The program emphasizes self-reflection, extensive reading, and profound self-inquiry, creating a rich environment for personal growth and spiritual development. Participants will explore various meditation techniques, delve into ancient wisdom texts, and engage in contemplative exercises that challenge their understanding of themselves and the world around them.

Throughout this training, framed by an in-depth study of the Kosha system, aspiring teachers will learn to cultivate presence, compassion, and emotional intelligence—essential qualities for holding space and supporting a community of meditators. The curriculum balances theoretical knowledge with practical experience, allowing participants to integrate their learnings into daily life and teaching scenarios. By the end of the program, graduates will not only have deepened their own practice but will also have developed the confidence and skills necessary to share the transformative power of meditation with others, fostering a sense of connection and well-being in their communities.
